Beloved Customers and Friends

Hope every one of you is having a pleasant holiday season! Following is AQ's annual staff faves email. Yeah, instead of making shopping / gift lists like normal people, we've spent the past few days arguing (er, 'discussing') what constitutes a "tops" list. The scintillating topics we covered included: are records from 2000 allowed if you first heard them in 2001, do reissues count, can andee list his runners up even if there are 394 of them, etc etc ad nauseum. In the end, we tried to keep our lists to 20 titles apiece. We didn't always succeed... but we tried.

For what it's worth, a summary of the AQ staff faves resulted in the following titles which were mentioned by more than one staffer, specifically: 5 votes for Terry Riley and 3 votes for each of the remaining. I guess you can consider that a very hearty recommendation for each of those.
